“Malia: This song by Billy Idol from 1984 was inspired by Georges Franju’s film Les Yeux Sans Visage. Though only loosely tied to the film through its title, I absolutely wanted it on the album. I loved Billy Idol’s presence in the video clip—he exuded such confidence. His pout conveyed just how little he cared about anything. I consider this song a true pop masterpiece.”
